Luobozhai (萝卜寨) is a historic village of the Qiang people, built on a steep and narrow mountain top at 1600 meter high, at the eastern edge of the Tibetan mountains, just north of Wenchuan (汶川). During the Sichuan earthquake in 2008, most of the village's mud-style, flat-roofed houses were destroyed and many lost family and livelihood.
