Xiaohuang and Xiaohuang are small villages of the Dong minority. Drum towers (open areas covered by a pagoda shaped tower) tower over the wooden houses; one for each family clan. Once the center of power and decision making; now the center of gossip and sleep. Covered ‘Rain-and-Wind’ bridges are where the old meet and where the young sing their love songs.
