Chunjie is the traditional Chinese new year, a national holiday usually in February, and known for the millions of migrant workers traveling en-mass by train to visit their hometowns and family. Purchasing a ticket can take days of queuing up and waiting. Some, knowing the difficulties of traveling during Chunjie, decide to continue work and get triple pay. And so did the street sweepers. In our neighborhood, streets were empty for days but the air was full of fireworks. But the sweepers swept. Each morning, streets were cleaner than I've ever seen them before....
